Submission

Manuscripts may be submitted online at jabsjournal.com or emailed to editor@jabsjournal.com as an attached file in the defined format. After receipt, manuscripts are allocated a reference number and reviewed initially by the Editorial Board before being sent out for double-blind peer review.

Self-citation of the journal within the manuscript is discouraged. In routine, manuscripts are reviewed within six weeks and are published after acceptance and correction of proofs. Transfer of copyright to the journal administration is mandatory. For queries, authors are encouraged to contact the Editor-in-Chief at info@jabsjournal.com.

Manuscript Preparation

Short and brief research papers are preferred. Short communications should range from 1,300–1,500 text words. Manuscripts typed on A4 paper are acceptable. Text should be double-spaced with a 2.5cm margin on each side, with page numbers at the bottom. For review articles, discuss the content and theme with the Chief Editor beforehand. Use System International (SI) units throughout.

Manuscript Sections

Not more than 300 words covering objectives, conclusions and practical applications.

Four to six words, none of which should already appear in the manuscript title.

Clearly signify the background of the problem, supported by recent literature and well-defined objectives.

Complete and comprehensive information about methodologies and materials used is required.

Should be based strictly on analysis of the data collected.

Logical, and must reflect the novelty of the findings with support from recent literature.

Clear-cut statements of conclusions, rather than a summary of the paper.

Should be brief.

Journal Reference Format

One Author: Aslam (1992). · or · (Aslam, 1992).

Two Authors: Aslam and Amir (1999). · or · (Aslam and Amir, 1999).

More than two authors: Aslam et al. (1999). · or · (Aslam et al., 1999).

  • Two or more in-text references should be placed in chronological order, e.g. (Jones, 1967; Chirnside, 1992).
  • Multiple references by the same author(s) in the same year should be distinguished with a, b, etc. after the year.
  • References at the end of the paper should be arranged alphabetically, with all authors' names included.
Journal article — example:

Tables & Figures

Tables and figures should be arranged at the end of the manuscript. Tables should be typed on separate sheets and numbered using Roman numerals. All tables and figures must be cited in the text at the appropriate place. Figures should be submitted in JPG or TIFF format.
