Start with the basics
Make sure your title is specific and accurately reflects the study, and that your abstract summarizes the objective, method, key result, and conclusion in a self-contained paragraph — reviewers often decide their initial impression from the abstract alone.
Structure your manuscript correctly
Follow the standard IMRaD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) unless the article type calls for something else. Keep section headings consistent with the journal's style, and make sure your introduction ends with a clear statement of the study's objective.
Prepare your figures and tables
Every figure and table should be numbered, captioned, and referenced in the text. Use high-resolution images, label all axes, and avoid duplicating the same data as both a figure and a table.
Check your references
Confirm every in-text citation has a matching entry in your reference list (and vice versa), and that the citation style matches the journal's requirements exactly — mismatched styles are one of the most common reasons manuscripts are sent back before review.

Do a final pass before you submit
Re-read the author guidelines one more time, check word count and formatting requirements, verify all author names and affiliations are correct and in the right order, and make sure your manuscript file is complete before uploading.
